Engineers Without Borders - Albuquerque

The Albuquerque chapter of Engineers Without Borders was founded in early 2007.  We have one established project on improving drinking water quality in underserved communities in remote areas of New Mexico including the Navajo Reservation.  We are planning one additional project to bring clean drinking water to remote villages in Honduras.

We have engineers and scientists from many Albuquerque businesses and the University of New Mexico.  We coordinate and cooperate with the EWB chapter at UNM, holding occasional joint meetings and offering assistance and mentoring as required.

The EWB philosophy considers projects holistically—technical, human factors, and sociologic effects are all part of the planning process.
